Voltage Variable Attenuators

The VFVA series is a family of voltage controlled variable attenuators optimized for the bands specified below. These devices will also exhibit very good performance over the broader frequency range described and can be used in many applications. The design consists of a silicon monolithic quadrature hybrid, two highly matched silicon PIN diodes and all bias and decoupling structures which provide an easy to use highly repeatable device. The VFVA series operate from 0 to 5V with 1.5 mA typical current drain for maximum attenuation; while offering very low distortion, high IIP3, flat attenuation versus frequency and exceptional VSWR. The VFVA series is offered in an easy to use 3.2 x 4.9 mm MCM surface mount package and is available in tape and reel.
